Our client is looking for an Assistant Project Manager with high rise construction experience within Southwestern Ontario. You will bring a minimum of 5 years experience working on full cycle residential projects.
  • Reviewing initial drawings and project scope and ensure that the project is built in accordance with these documents
  • Conducting routine site visits to oversee the progress and scheduling of the trades * Enforce company and project policies, main client interface, and are responsible for project performance including: budget/costs, schedule, quality and overall project status
  • The ability to read, interpret, analyze, and forecast a project's costs and determine the status of the job in terms of schedule and costing
  • Assessing potential risks and notifying owners on a continuous basis
  • Assure compliance with project construction schedule and budgets and assume responsibility for the commissioning of the project

  • Minimum of 5 years' construction experience.
  • Educational and experience requirements include a construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
  • Full cycle high rise project experience
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on construction projects
  • Foresight to predict problems before they develop
  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and have superior communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives
  • Proficiency in Office and Project Management software (e.g. MS Office/Project)
