- Act as leader of multiple projects in for the company's Operations field
- Act as a Project Manager to support the operations transformation (new products,new processes,new equipments,new layout
- Coordinate medium to large cross-functional teams to deliver value added projects for the organization
- Customer Focus:must be able to listen and understand the needs of internal and external customers and communicate effectively between organizations
- Drive for results focused on driving continuous improvement to develop sustainable and automated processes that will lead to improved service levels and reduced costs
- Communication:must communicate effectively and consistently up and across to resolve issues collaborate with team members across the organization
- Carry out needs analysis,coordinate implementation of actions and follow-up after implementation
- Develop and monitor the schedule,budget,QM plan,human resources,communication plan, risk management plan
- Establish and publish key performance indicators for project portfolio management
- Development of tools and methodologies for best management practices
- Manage continuous improvement projects for operational processes to promote the application of best management practices and increase operational efficiency
- Participate in the improvement of business processes to maximize performance in terms of productivity efficiency,process simplification,quality and cost reduction,thus improve overall performance
- Carry out data collection and analysis to identify and quantify opportunities for improvement or cost reduction
- Within the framework of projects,participate in the continuous improvement of productivity levels reduction of scrap rates,production lead times,simplification of processes and annual production costs
- Promote project management and continuous improvement tools,support to other departments
- Identify,document,resolve issues that occur during the lifetime of a project
- University degree (Bachelor's) in engineering,other relevant field
- 5+ years' professional experience in project management or continuous improvement
- Master's degree in project management,PMP
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (an asset)
- Good knowledge of project management methodologies(development and monitoring of baseline content schedule,budget,resources,communication,procurement,risk and QM)
- Experience with ERP systems (an asset)
- Strong organizational skills and rigor
- Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work and influence others from different functional areas and levels within and outside the organization
- Well-organized with the ability to multi-task,prioritize work and able to handle detailed work in a fast-paced,dynamic environment
- Strong ability to analyze and solve technical and organizational problems
- Strong analytical and results-oriented skills
- Strong writing and IT skills (Word,PowerPoint,Excel,MS project,SmartSheet,Jira)
- Team spirit and leadership
- Good communication and group facilitation skills
- Bilingual French/English,spoken and written
- Experience in optics (an asset)
- Available for occasional travel
