Closing Date: September 12, 2025Position SummaryAs an integral member of the Toronto General Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy Services Team, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for supervising outpatient pharmacy operations. The Operations Coordinator will facilitate program development, and quality improvement activities within the department, while exemplifying UHN's values of caring, excellence, teamwork, innovation, integrity, leadership, and respect.Duties
- Supporting the Pharmacy Site Operations Manager with all aspects of operations related to pharmacy and front shop services, finance and system improvements
- Maintaining customer service, clinical, educational and corporate responsibilities
- Provide direct and/or functional supervision of staff including human resources management
- Performing other cross-functional duties consistent with the job classification as assigned
- Certificate of competency from the pharmacy Examination Board of Canada required
- Active Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A) required
- At minimum over 3-5 years practical and related leadership experience required
- Knowledge of adherence services including, but not limited to, compliance packaging, refill synchronization, and refill management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to manage heavy workload with frequent changes
- Ability to plan and coordinate various projects and programs
- Completion of an advanced degree (Masters or equivalent) or Doctor of Pharmacy degree highly preferred
- Certificate of completion from recognized Injection and Immunization Training Program and Smoking Cessation Program highly preferred
- Ambulatory Outpatient Pharmacy practice experience preferred
- Familiarity with common drug therapies, as well familiarity with dispensing processes for specialty medications preferred
- Expanded scope vaccinations experience preferred
- Minor ailments prescribing experience preferred
- Pharmacy Residency an asset
- Membership in the Ontario Pharmacists' Association, Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists and/or other professional societies an asset
- Kroll experience an asset
- ParataMax automation experience an asset
- Compression stockings experience an asset
