We're also committed to building a workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work each day.Corporate ControllerPosition SummaryThe Corporate Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of ODRA Road Sweepers' financial reporting across Canada, the United States, and India. This role provides oversight of accounting operations, financial controls, statutory compliance, and consolidated reporting while supporting operational decision‑making in a multi‑currency, multi‑entity environment.The Corporate Controller will play a critical role in scaling finance processes, strengthening internal controls, and supporting ODRA's long‑term growth strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for all legal entities in Canada, the U.S., and India.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS / ASPE / US GAAP, as applicable).
  • Ensure accurate multi‑currency accounting, foreign exchange treatment, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Provide timely and insightful financial analysis and variance explanations to executive leadership.
Accounting Operations & Controls
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and payroll accounting across regions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies across all operating entities.
  • Ensure consistent accounting practices while addressing local statutory requirements.
  • Support ERP and financial systems enhancements, standardization, and process automation.
Tax, Compliance & Audit
  • Coordinate corporate income tax, indirect tax (GST/HST, sales tax, excise, VAT), and withholding tax compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities in Canada, the U.S., and India.
  • Lead year‑end audits and statutory filings, ensuring accuracy and on‑time completion.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax legislation, and compliance requirements globally.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
  • Lead the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting process in partnership with operations and leadership teams.
  • Provide cost accounting oversight for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights to support pricing, capital investment, and operational efficiency decisions.
  • Support cash flow planning, working capital management, and financial risk assessment.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Build, mentor, and manage regional accounting and finance teams.
  • Act as a trusted finance advisor to senior leaders and cross‑functional partners.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, HR, and sales teams to support business initiatives and scalability.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong financial stewardship.
QualificationsEducation & Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA (Canada or equivalent international designation) is required.
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including senior‑level responsibility is required.
  • Experience overseeing multi‑entity, multi‑country operations, ideally across North America and Asia is required.
  • Strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments (cost accounting, inventory, capital assets).
  • Hands‑on experience with audits, consolidations, and complex financial reporting.
Technical Skills
  • Deep knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Experience managing intercompany transactions and global consolidations.
Leadership & Competencies
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams across geographies.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insight.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across cultures and time zones.
