We are currently hiring Manufacturing Team Members for one of our local clients in Orillia. This opportunity is for the afternoon shift, with hours of work from Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.Pros to this position are:
  • Afternoon Shift, No early mornings
  • Full time hours and one steady shift
  • $1.50/hr shift premium
  • Weekly Pay, Overtime after 44 hours
  • Training provided
Duties Include:
  • Working on an assembly line in different departments
  • Making parts, cables, elements
  • Placing shorter pieces of metal into large machines stretching and lengthening it to make longer/thinner lengths of cable
  • Working with bigger machines
  • Winding lengths of finished cable on a big machine to wrap
  • Moving product to Carts
  • Testing and quality control
  • Maintaining timelines
  • Making products to set specifications
  • Keeping work area tidy and clean
  • Adhering to workplace health and safety
Requirements:
  • CSA approved steel toed boots
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, twisting
  • Ability to use micrometers
  • Reliability/Good attendance
  • Ability to follow direction and a strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset
  • Must be available to train on day shift Mon-Fri 7am to 3pm for min 1 week
Weekly pay. Wage $19.00/hr plus $1.50/hr shift premium on all hours worked on afternoon shift.We are committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process and workplace.
