- For specific business units, oversee the coordination of monthly reporting packages and required stakeholder reports.
- Produce variance reports, working with cost center managers to develop clear explanations and recommended mitigations.
- Support month-end close activities, including the update of working papers and preparation of account reconciliations to ensure accurate, well-supported financial statements.
- Monitor coding of transactions to ensure proper segmentation is used for accuracy in reporting.
- Support the development of the annual budgeting cycle for both operating and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with divisional & corporate strategic priorities.
- Support development quarterly financial forecasts, incorporating updated assumptions, risk assessments, and divisional inputs.
- Withhold clear communication lines with Operations team members to integrate accurate transactional data into planning models.
- Support both short & long-term cash forecasting through scenario modelling and liquidity analysis, working with Financial Operations team to ensure sufficient cash resources.
- Support the preparation of monthly internal financial reporting packages, including financial statements, variance analysis, KPIs, and narrative insights for leadership.
- Design and maintain dashboards and visual reporting tools in NetSuite Analytics Warehouse to support real-time decision-making.
- Support cost allocation models and GL hierarchy management, ensuring the financial structure aligns with organizational reporting needs.
- Oversee project accounting from a financial performance perspective, including actuals vs budget, margin analysis, and cost drivers.
- Work additional hours outside of the regular hours of work, including weekends and overtime.
- Work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.
- Completion of a post secondary degree with specialization in Accounting. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is seen as an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Proven financial management skills, including knowledge of the accounting cycle and the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required.
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-division organization is seen as an asset.
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team

- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture and way of life would be highly beneficial.
