- Provide timely evaluation of represented and management positions in adherence to established parameters to customers.
- Ensure appropriate supporting documentation on record.
- Track evaluation statistics and create monthly reports regarding positions against established service standards.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of job evaluation related best practices.
- Provide consultative services to management regarding proposed organizational structure and/or job content changes.
- Develop and implement initiatives to increase managerial awareness and understanding of job evaluation plans, policies and procedures.
- Research, assess and develop recommendations based on best practices and internal requirements to enhance current classification systems and/or organizational design and effectiveness.
- As part of the consultative process, enhance awareness and understanding of governance requirements.
- Design, develop and implement appropriate communication materials and learning initiatives to enhance awareness and understanding of job evaluation plans, policies and procedures.
- Identify and flag any issues/concerns to the Manager along with recommendation to successfully address issues.
- Participate in project teams focused on classification design and implementation including any additional Projects (pay equity, HR systems).
- Post secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources Management, or related field or equivalent combination of related experience and education.
- Designations such as CHRP, CHRL or equivalents (asset).
- 1-3 years’ of experience in job evaluation analysis and design.
- Experience in Pay Equity (asset).
- Strong knowledge of legislation and labour relations policies regarding job evaluation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Solid organization and business acumen.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, relationship building and relationship management skills.
- Good judgment and decision-making capability.
- Very strong understanding of job evaluation analysis and design within represented and management environments.
- This position is based at the Ottawa Head Office, and is a hybrid position with a minimum 3 days per week on site.
- Occasional travel may be required
