Our client, a leading precision sheet metal manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the Fabrication and Welding teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and reliable work habits which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Welder
Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
Pay Range: $27.00 - CA$31.00 per hour (based on welding test performance)
Shift: Monday to Friday; Mornings 6 am to 2 pm OR Afternoons 2 pm to 10 pm (must be willing to work overtime when necessary)
What's the Job?

Precision weld metal parts using MIG or TIG welding machines and techniques
Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment safely and effectively
Handle incoming and outgoing parts with care to avoid damage or injury
Assist with maintenance and repair of welding, brazing, and soldering equipment

What's Needed?

Minimum 1 year of experience in the metal fabrication industry
Strong mechanical blueprint reading skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Good mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic
Mandatory PPE and ability to communicate in English
