Our client, a leader in the utility sector, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will be part of the Grid Automation department supporting project execution and client relations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: Markham, ONPay Range: 51.50 per hourShift: Days (08:30-16:30)What's the Job?
  • Lead and manage electrical grid automation projects from initiation through to warranty end, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, scope, and schedule standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary contact for contract execution and project delivery.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, procurement, and support teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor project performance, prepare regular updates, and conduct project reviews to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance with company policies, and promote a culture of safety within project teams.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electricity grid engineering or project management.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% within North America, including US and Canada.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and procedures, with strong communication skills in English.
  • Experience managing customer-facing projects in the utility or industrial sectors is preferred.
