Aperçu:The Employee Health and Safety Leader supports Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) for Hussmann Services in Canada. This individual will be a leader for the Jones Group and Cambridge Sales Office in Environmental, Health, and Safety practices and training, and make regular visits to all their sites in the district. You will report to the EHS Manager. Candidates can live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Vancouver, BC area. Responsabilités:Supervision and coordination of all EHS related activities within the facilities assigned, to support management with the implementation of EHS standards and requirements.Conduct and manage EHS inspections & audits in accordance with Hussmann policyImplement and maintain (revise as necessary) local EHS programs based on company policies and other regulationsLiaison with local authority, community and other external bodies regarding EHS issuesProvide EHS consultation to all departments of the districtRecognize acute hazards and recommend or make immediate correctionsAssist on multiple projects, including with cross function teamsCoordinate and conduct EHS-related trainingParticipate in incident investigation and/or emergency response at District location(s)Administrative responsibilities (examples: SDS Sheets, data entry, Workers' Compensation, maintain KPIs, Maintain injury & illness record keeping)Analyze data and communicate trends in EHS performanceManage a fleet of approximately 170 vehicles (assignment, registration, DOT compliance, etc.)Travel required (up to 60%) (Burnaby, Parksville, and Victoria) Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required10+ years of related experienceWorking knowledge of mechanical engineering and commercial refrigerationDemonstrated working knowledge of WorkSafe BC, Transport Canada, and Environment Canada requiredCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or similar certification preferredHave valid driver's licenseHave physical capability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 poundsSelf-starter with ability to operate under general instructionsExcellent problem-solving skillsKnowledge and practice implementing ISO14001 & OHS management systemsExcellent computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)The salary or hourly range of $ 80231-$133,718 is just one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
