Forklift Operators

- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Relocate items within a warehouse
- Unload incoming shipments to verify quantity and condition of goods
- Unload and properly store received inventory in designated areas
- Pick, pack, and load outbound orders onto delivery trucks
- Create crates for shipment; assist in transfers as needed
- Working in confined space and/ or cold environments (travelling in/out of refrigerated (~4C).
- Wrap and prepare products for shipping
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing operations.
- Experience with RF Scanner is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently.
- Proficiency in using order entry systems and inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Produce / fresh food experience preferred for some Clients.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
- Counterbalance forklift experience is an asset
- Power jack experience is an asset
- Experience with RF Scanner is an asset but not required
- Experience with a Vocollect Headset is an asset but not required
- Experience with refrigerated reefer trucks is preferred
- Experience working within confined areas (coolers) and/or with different racking systems (pushback racking, racks that are 2-3 pallets high, 5 pallets deep, etc) at for some Clients locations
- This position involves standing, walking, heavy lifting, and repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Must have CSA-approved safety boots
