We are looking for a youth engagement worker to engage with youth in the community of Blackfalds for summer programming!CompanyCentral Alberta Youth Unlimited (CAYU) is a not-for-profit Christian organization that builds meaningful, long-term connections with vulnerable young people by meeting them on their turf. CAYU addresses the holistic health of young people: physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual.Position OverviewThis is a temporary position for 35 hours per week and a total of 8 weeks in duration as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program.The Youth Worker will engage in meaningful relationships with the youth of Blackfalds. They will be mentored by staff. They will have an opportunity to grow and strengthen their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. They will also participate in developing community initiatives within our youth leadership program.They will be given the opportunity to help develop and execute engagement activities for local middle and high school students.
