- Initiate and maintain scheduled contact with assigned Customers at multiple contact levels
- Analysis of Customer needs & activity using potentially more complex sales/service solutions
- Inform/sell new products, programs, & services.
- Target & secure strategic long lane business
- Facilitate annual, or as needed, uprates
- Achieve established sales quotas & KPI’s
- Identify & secure automated shipping system opportunities at customer sites Develop & present proposals/quotes
- Ensure appropriate width & depth within customer organization for DHL relationship
- Present customer performance reviews on a scheduled basis
- Maintain comprehensive customer profiles
- Act as the liaison between customer and company resources.
- Engage appropriate personnel as required.
- Update management on competitive activity
- Ensure Customer Management Relationship database is updated for Enterprise sales
- Complete sales reports for Management
- Achieve established sales revenue quotas
- Customer margins, volumes and suppressions managed in compliance with Company standards
- Meet pre-established performance standards i.e.: # of targeted customers, quality and # of targets closed; account profile
- 8+ years of experience in logistics sales; or 10+ years sales experience
- Verbal & written proficiency in English
- Demonstrated ability to infiltrate senior customer levels and represent value
- Excellent interpersonal communication & probing skills, high aptitude for follow-up
- Analysis and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of technology applications in business
- Demonstrated drive, persistence & initiative
- Implemented measurements & strategies to attain goals
- Proven planning, organizational, time management skills
