- Drive SMU post-silicon domain validation and debug. Develop test scripts python, perl, and ruby.
- Debug, troubleshoot HW/FW issues, as well as system-level failures related to power and performance features
- Defining and implementing the end-to-end test plan and validation strategy for AMD IP
- Own SMU mega IP domain expertise to support multiple FW and IP development groups. Assume responsibility for post-silicon activities related to power and system management IP in CPU/APU products.
- Develop and prototype FW power management features for future platforms by implementing them and studying their efficiency.
- Interact closely with teams in design, diagnostics, emulation, and driver and responsible for bringing up ASIC, enablement of IP functionality, debug of critical features, and full validation for production.
- 1+ of experience developing or debugging embedded software / firmware.
- 1+ years of hands-on programming in C / C++ and Python / Other scripting languages.
- Extensive laboratory experience, including familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Extensive experience with ASIC debug techniques and methodologies
- Deep understanding of digital processing and power electronics.
- Good understanding of Clock Distribution Networks (CDN) and Power Delivery Networks (PDN)
- Extensive experience with board/platform-level debug, analysis and optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of CPU / APU architectures.
- Good understanding of computer architectures and power/thermal management.
- Experience with hard real-time AI / ML.
