As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer - Buildings, you will play a key role in shaping high-performance, people-centred buildings across Vancouver and Western Canada. Your work will support a wide range of projects-from commercial and institutional facilities to complex mixed-use developments-where smart mechanical design drives comfort, efficiency, and long-term resilience.Your Impact
- Design and develop mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for new and existing facilities
- Contribute to detailed engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated building solutions
- Support projects through all phases-from concept and detailed design to construction and commissioning
- Apply sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions aligned with client and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to resolve technical challenges
- Support junior engineers and designers through technical guidance and review
- Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and quality across building projects
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in building mechanical design within a consulting environment
- Eligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia
- Experience with HVAC system design, load calculations, and construction documentation
- Proficiency with industry tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modelling software
- Exposure to sustainable building standards and codes (ASHRAE, NECB, LEED considered an asset)
