- Own and lead the full month-end close cycle.
- Act as the primary finance contact during close periods.
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce group reporting packs and investigate financial variances.
- Maintain control and integrity of key balance sheet accounts.
- Manage invoicing and accounts receivable processes end-to-end.
- Ensure timely collections and accurate ageing reporting.
- Apply US GAAP / IFRS revenue recognition principles across manufacturing, wholesale, and service revenue streams.
- Support and progressively assume ownership of inventory valuation and standard costing.
- Analyse cost of goods sold and operational variances.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with US GAAP/IFRS and internal control requirements.
- Review work prepared by shared services or junior team members.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce close timelines and enhance data quality.
- Provide financial analysis and project support to the Financial Controller.
- CPA designation (or equivalent: ACA, CA, CGA, CMA).
- Progressive accounting experience in a senior-level role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS, particularly revenue recognition and inventory accounting.
- Proven experience managing month-end close and financial reporting cycles.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Business Central, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and international teams.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, cannabis, life sciences, or manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to cost accounting in manufacturing operations.
- Experience working within multi-entity or shared services finance structures.
- Demonstrated success implementing finance process or system improvements.
