Dawson International Truck Centres is looking for a Manager of Service to ensure that the Service Department runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably, while running at maximum capacity.In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson International Truck Centres, working in a permanent, full-time position of Manager of Service, reporting to the Branch Manager. Your base location will be Kamloops, BC.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Lead a diverse team of technicians and service support staff
  • Recruitment, Mentoring, Training, Performance Management and Retention of staff
  • Control resources and utilize assets to deliver financial bottom-line results
  • Improve the customer service experience, develop customer relationships, and facilitate growth
  • Attend and participate in all safety meetings and promote and ensure team abides by safety policies
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow up through to resolution
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Monitor and control the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and KPI’s
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department
  • Maintain open communications and good relationships with other department personnel - Parts, Sales, Administration, and Credit
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other locations.
  • Work with the service management team to build consistency in service delivery across our 5 locations
  • Implement and maintain our OEM best practices and processes
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Service Manager preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the heavy truck/equipment or related industry preferred
  • Education in business administration or a HET / CT ticket preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports
  • Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
  • Function well with large volume and fast-paced work environment
  • Working knowledge of computers and customer service software
  • Strong written and oral communication
