
Manager of Service

- Lead a diverse team of technicians and service support staff
- Recruitment, Mentoring, Training, Performance Management and Retention of staff
- Control resources and utilize assets to deliver financial bottom-line results
- Improve the customer service experience, develop customer relationships, and facilitate growth
- Attend and participate in all safety meetings and promote and ensure team abides by safety policies
- Take ownership of customer issues and follow up through to resolution
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
- Monitor and control the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and KPI’s
- Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department
- Maintain open communications and good relationships with other department personnel - Parts, Sales, Administration, and Credit
- Strive for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other locations.
- Work with the service management team to build consistency in service delivery across our 5 locations
- Implement and maintain our OEM best practices and processes
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Service Manager preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the heavy truck/equipment or related industry preferred
- Education in business administration or a HET / CT ticket preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports
- Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times
- Function well with large volume and fast-paced work environment
- Working knowledge of computers and customer service software
- Strong written and oral communication
