About the OpportunityThe Department of Medicine Dalhousie University / Nova Scotia Health is currently accepting applications for two locum General Internist positions within the Division of General Internal Medicine at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. For one position, a focus or expertise in Obstetric Internal Medicine is an asset but not required. There is potential opportunity for change to continuing appointment in future.Role DescriptionThe successful candidates will be integral parts of the inpatient and outpatient clinical care team, actively contributing to the Clinical Teaching Units and taking part in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. One position places particular emphasis on Obstetric Internal Medicine, but it is not a requirement. Candidates must have completed a 4- or 5-year residency program in Internal Medicine / General Internal Medicine and hold specialty certification in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent). General Internal Medicine certification is considered an asset. Eligibility for licensure in Nova Scotia is required.Division of General Internal MedicineThe Division of General Internal Medicine is one of 15 divisions within the Department of Medicine.
