AML Team Lead – Financial Crimes ServicesMontreal, QC | Contract (12 Months) | Start Date: June 1, 2026Hourly Rate: $60.25 – $84.75 per hourOverviewWe are seeking an experienced AML Team Lead to join a Financial Crimes Services engagement on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will oversee AML investigators, conduct quality reviews, manage case assignments, and monitor team productivity. Bilingual French and English proficiency is required for this Montreal-based role.ResponsibilitiesGain a thorough understanding of the investigation process and relevant systemsConduct 2nd-level review on cases completed by AML investigators to ensure procedures were followed and adjudication is supported by the appropriate narrative and supporting documentationManage the case load by assigning cases to AML investigators and re-assigning cases as requiredMonitor productivity and throughput; escalate to Senior Managers and Partners as neededProvide coaching to AML investigatorsParticipate in and lead client meetings as requiredMust HavesAbility to speak and write in French; English is a strong asset7+ years of Financial Services industry experienceExperience as an FIU team leader, managing the team’s workload, cases, and productivity; conducting quality reviews and testing; managing alerts and navigating investigation processes and programsCertified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS), or other recognized AML/Financial Crimes certification is preferredStrong understanding of industry-common screening and transaction monitoring tools such as SAS, Actimize, Oracle, World-Check, LexisNexis, Refinitiv, and othersStrong knowledge of AML legislative requirements including FINTRAC guidelinesExperience handling high-risk profile casesExperience performing demarketing and/or remediation projectsCompensationThe hourly rate for this contract position is $60.25 to $84.75 per hour.
