This is a full-time position with an excellent opportunity for growth. Reporting to the foreman, our Sheet Metal Lead must ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies. They will follow project specifications and timelines, working efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.What Do You Get:We are a lifestyle company. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review blueprints along with building code specifications to determine work details and procedures.
  • Perform Quantity Takeoffs from drawings and adjust for efficiency in the field.
  • Work with Vendors to order materials.
  • Assemble sheet metal parts by fitting and joining them together and install ductwork and fittings to residential, commercial and industrial spaces
  • Install ductwork, HRVs, parkade ductwork and kitchen duct work.
  • Understanding of different connectors and hanger layout.
  • Using hand tools and benders to construct sheet metal components in the field.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals.
  • Identify maintenance risks on equipment and always maintain safety practices.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • organize tools and materials
  • Lead and teach junior members of a team.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in residential or commercial HVAC work preferred.
  • Journeyman sheet metal ticket or relevant experience preferred.
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day working in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms
  • Must be able to climb scaffoldings.
