As a Container Terminal Security Officer, your main duties will include anticipating and addressing inquiries, hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns, patrolling the facility regularly, ensuring authorized entry to secure areas only, writing detailed incident reports, and complying with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations.YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
- Have been in Canada in the last 5 consecutive years
- Have strong communication skills
- Have a valid BC security license
- Have Basic First Aid or be willing to obtain it
- Are legally authorized to work in Canada
- Have a valid Transport Security Clearance or willing to obtain
- Security officers are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License.
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills, including working under pressure.
- Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
