- Support the Head of Corporate Affairs (Canada Business Unit) in executing the annual Corporate Affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business priorities. This requires extensive experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Create and execute a government relations strategy that supports Haleon's goals and shapes health policy at provincial and federal levels.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as commercial, medical, regulatory, and sustainability teams to support coordinated strategy implementation in line with organizational priorities.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as policymakers, healthcare providers, industry groups, and community partners.
- Apply deep knowledge of the CPG/Health industry—including market trends, external landscape, and government/stakeholder perspectives—to guide strategic decision-making.
- Develop and execute content for relevant (social media and earned media) campaigns for the market/BU, including advocacy, and corporate brand campaigns as it relates to GR activities. Your extensive experience in campaign development and execution will be essential.
- Support leaders with external engagement opportunities such as speaking opportunities and ensure consistent messaging aligned with the company's strategy, values, and government relations activities.
- Lead initiatives that promote responsible social business, and community engagement. Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies that align with our company's values and goals, while fostering partnerships with stakeholders to drive meaningful change in the local community.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve communication strategy. Your ability to stay informed and adapt to new trends will be crucial.
- Minimum of 5-7 of years in government, agency or CPG/healthcare.
- Undergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, public policy or related field.
- Experience in Government & Public Affairs and Policy.
- Strong Stakeholder/Partner management across government, non-profit and industry.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in both external and internal communications at regional and local levels.
- Comfortable in a dynamic environment with shifting demands.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong team player.
- Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills in English.
- Agency experience preferred.
- French speaking.
- Experience in FMCG or healthcare sectors preferred.
