Schedule: Monday- Friday; 7:30-4:00pmWork Location: In person – Southeast Calgary, ABWhat You’ll Do:1. Prepare construction cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow projections.2. Lead the process of preparing estimates & bids, perform quantity take-offs from drawings and tender assist with tenders, bids, proposals, and RFP submissions.3. Review and analyze subcontractor quotes and pricing.4. Help integrate new software and modify existing systems.5. Support Project Manager with project coordination, scheduling, and cost control.6. Track project costs, labor hours, expenditures, progress and update stakeholders as needed.7. Manage contemplated change notices and change orders.8. Attend site meetings and distribute meeting minutes or other documents as required.9. Complete T&M documents as required, including DEWRs and reports.10. Coordinate communication between field crews, consultants, and clients.11. Assist with project close-out documentation and record keeping.12. Review reports and documents for accuracy and flag areas of concern.13. Aid the office and field as needed to complete time-sensitive tasks.14. Share ideas for process improvements and contribute to company growth.What We’re Looking For:
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in concrete/construction estimating and/or project coordination.
  • Experience in concrete restoration, structural repair, or building rehabilitation is preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings/specifications and apply building codes/methods.
  • Proficient in Windows, Excel, MS Project, and Microsoft Office as well as other software tools.
  • Strong organizational, project coordination and communication skills.
  • Strong math skills
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Critical thinker with strong math skills, high attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Excel, and MS Projects (Fieldwire knowledge an asset).
