- Support regional sales manager’s sales and budget goals by providing excellent customer service in assigned territories.
- Recommend appropriate Ingenia products to customers, then coordinate testing, qualifications and approvals of these products at customers, including attending and leading qualification trials.
- Troubleshoot customer issues related to Ingenia products, support recommended use of Ingenia products at customers.
- Coordinate resolution of any customer complaints by working with quality control managers, and R&D.
- Act as the voice of the customer to the company with quality, product development and sales. Suggest and coordinate product development efforts with R&D Scientists/engineers.
- Provide exceptional technical service to ensure customer contract requirements are met. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Identify quality control issues and provide resolution.
- Build customer relationships through continuous customer interaction and visits.
- Complete or coordinate completion of technical service reports and internal analysis work in support of customers. Ensure finished product is up to standard and communicate results to customers.
- Participates and presents at various tradeshows, conferences, supplier and sales meetings.
- Responsible for adherence to travel policy guidelines and booking of travel arrangements. Submission of accurate and timely business expense reports.
- Extensive overnight travel is required.
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in chemical, materials, polymer or packaging engineering or science or equivalent field experience.
- A combination of product development, technical service or processing experience in polyolefin flexible packaging is required. Should have in-depth knowledge of customers conversion processes (blown and cast film extrusion) including industry standards, testing requirements, qualifications procedures, formulations, film structures and performance properties of the materials.
- Minimum of 5-7 years technical experience specifically in flexible packaging at a film converter, and/or materials and equipment suppliers to the flexible packaging market.
- Exceptional knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling technical products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication in English is required.
