
Procurement Specialist (Non-iT)

- Assist in organizing, tracking, and reporting on key activities related to category management strategies.
- Plan and coordinate procurement-related tasks such as financial forecasting, gathering technical requirements, and documenting procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and ensure alignment.
- Perform data analysis and review documents such as contracts and payment data.
- Prepare status updates, dashboards, and project reports, and maintain project documentation.
- Identify and recommend improvements to procurement practices and project coordination tools.
- Assist in the creation of training materials and templates to promote procurement modernization efforts.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned to support procurement transformation goals.
- Proficiency in procurement processes and project management.
- Relevant post-secondary education in supply chain, procurement, business, or a related field (minimum 2-year diploma).
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- 4 years of experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- 4 years of direct experience in non-IT project management.
- 4 years of experience in public sector procurement processes.
- Completion of SCMP or other equivalent courses and associated certificates.
- 4 years of experience creating and using advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- 4 years of experience in developing and releasing RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and conducting negotiations.
- Understanding of trade agreements and competitive bid law.
