- Designs and develops comprehensive AV system architectures incorporating audio, video, control, and network components.
- Creates detailed AV system designs, including equipment specifications, system schematics, and integration plans.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final video conferencing solutions implementation.
- Programs Crestron/audiovisual/AV switching equipment for AV integration. Implements complex solutions for Boardrooms and Divisible video conference room.
- Collaborates with project managers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and installation of AV systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AV system design and integration.
- Conducts feasibility studies and evaluations of AV technologies and solutions.
- Conducts site visits and assessments to gather project requirements, evaluate existing infrastructure, and identify potential challenges or opportunities.
- Provides recommendations for hardware and software selection, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develops and maintains documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and project deliverables.
- Supports the project team with technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and quality assurance during system testing and commissioning.
- Collaborates with vendors and suppliers to source AV equipment and materials.
- Manages and monitors the video conference room deployment via Teams Admin Center/Pro portal.
- Reviews AV team incidents and reports in IT service management tool, manages AV team incidents and service requests to meet service level agreements, performs problem management, and reviews, edits, authors and approves knowledge base articles.
- Is accountable to approve, sign-off and build any AV solution to be implemented on ABB Production environment.
- Engages in requirement engineering to decide which requirements are covered by available standard functionalities, for which functionalities enhancements are needed and for which functionalities workarounds are accepted.
- Supports validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Owner.
- Acts as escalation point for AV related issues.
- Contributes to IS Problem and IS Incident Management to fight ticket volume by detecting re-occurring defects and eliminating these.
- Proactively supports issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service.
- Provides guidance to IS service delivery unit team and to IS project management in how to utilize AV solution standards effectively.
- Communicates project delivery related decision demand towards project and service management in collaboration with IS Lead Architect to ensure resolution and avoid delivery issues.
- Commits and contributes to common result-oriented collaboration with the various business processes IS architectural domains as well as the various enterprise technology IS architecture domains.
- Provides leadership to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion and advice normally without carrying line responsibility.

- Bachelor's degree or college degree. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Proven experience as an AV Architect or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful AV system designs and implementations.
- Proven experience with Teams Meeting Rooms implementations.
- In-depth knowledge of audio-visual technologies, including displays, projectors, sound systems, video conferencing solutions, and control systems.
- Proficiency in AV system design software.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as Infocomm, CEDIA, and AVIXA.
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, and vendors.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility to travel to sites as needed (15%).
- English is necessary because the employee will deal with clients outside of Quebec.
