- Develop and execute social media strategies across key platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging channels.
- Plan and maintain editorial calendars aligned with seasonal campaigns, product launches, and business priorities.
- Create, shoot, and edit engaging visual content for posts, Reels, Shorts, and stories.
- Collaborate with creative team to craft compelling, platform-specific copy that engages our audience.
- Support community engagement by actively engaging with customers, responding to comments and inquiries, and fostering meaningful conversations.
- Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and build brand affinity through authentic engagement.
- Support influencer collaborations and partnerships in alignment with campaign objectives and brand values.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to continuously improve engagement and reach.
- Establish and manage an experimentation roadmap—testing new content formats, messaging approaches, and platform features.
- Stay current with platform trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring Lee Valley remains relevant and innovative.
- Work closely with Marketing, PR, Ecommerce, and Retail teams to ensure alignment across campaigns, promotions, and in-store experiences.
- Support the development and implementation of social media protocols and reputation management practices.
- Support organic SEO efforts by optimizing content, tags, keywords, titles, and descriptions across social media platforms.
- Ensure social content aligns with broader digital marketing and ecommerce strategies.
- 3+ years of professional experience in social media content creation or marketing (non-internship).
- Proven experience developing and executing social media campaigns that grow audiences and drive engagement.
- Strong understanding of major social platforms and their evolving best practices.
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone across platforms.
- Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across functions.
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
