
Chassis Value Optimization Engineer

- Identify, benchmark, budget, and track cost reduction activities to meet technical targets.
- Present regional cost results by subsystem.
- Generate and evaluate cost-reduction ideas without compromising quality or customer experience.
- Coordinate cross-regional collaboration on technical proposals.
- Lead benchmarking, standardization, and idea generation activities (suppliers, engineering, workshops).
- Support design-to-cost initiatives and engage suppliers/stakeholders on value optimization.
- Manage VO tools, methods, processes, KPIs, and budget requests.
- Ensure compliance with internal control systems.
- Oversee system/component changes to meet performance and cost goals.
- Bachelor's in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Background in design, release, processing, or cost development (EDD, variable, tooling).
- Experience with multiple automotive systems (body, interior, chassis, electrical, propulsion, battery, engine, transmission, HVAC, ePT).
- Knowledge of system/component architecture, hardware, and full product lifecycle.
- Skilled in cost analysis, quoting, and identifying savings opportunities.
- Proficient in NX and Teamcenter.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with quality tools (Shainin Red X, DFSS, Six Sigma) and lean product development.
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written).
