Together, we pursue a shared mission to create a more sustainable future.Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYAs a Chemical Operator, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of our chemical manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Your attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures will contribute to the production of high-quality chemicals.Main Responsibilities:Support and follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulatory requirementsHousekeeping duties throughout siteDaily, weekly, monthly inspections - forklifts, lab, EHSWash, inspect, and label reusable totes for daily and weekly useLabel and prepare all types of one-way packagingLoad bulk trucks with finished product as well as unload trucks of bulk raw material into storage tanksBlend high quality finished materials:Read batch recipes and follow instructions so that batches are made to the required quality standard with all the correct materialsStage and prepare ingredients for blends as needed for productionDeliver chemicals into blend tanks in predetermined quantities using automated systems as well some semi-automated /manual systemsComplete lab testing to ensure products are formulated to meet quality standardsComplete all batch documentation accurately and in a timely manner so as to ensure raw material inventory is properly accounted forConsult with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality.Report, help troubleshoot and assist maintenance as requiredHandle other duties as assigned.QualificationsCore Requirements:Willingness to work in a team environmentWillingness to support and/or lead changeHigh School Diploma or equivalentPrevious experience working with large volumes of chemicals (desired)Familiarity with manufacturing processes and environments (ISO 9001)Mechanical skills is an assetStrong written and verbal English communication skillsComputer proficiencyForklift license as an asset, or willing to be trained on forklift.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50lbsAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Boots, Safety Clothing, Safety Helmet, Safety Goggle/Glasses, Respirator, Gloves)Additional InformationAt Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
