You’ll join a reserved but collaborative legal team where professionalism, focus, and calm under pressure are valued.Role Overview:
The In-House Litigation Counsel will represent the company in Quebec courts, handle a wide range of litigation files, and provide strategic legal advice across multiple jurisdictions. This role is ideal for a lawyer with strong litigation skills looking to transition from private practice to an in-house setting with more work-life balance.Key Responsibilities:Represent the company in Quebec courts for injunctions, actions on account, employment disputes, cargo claims, and other litigation mattersDraft and file legal procedures/documents for Quebec courtsProvide strategic litigation advice for cases across jurisdictionsSupport compliance, insurance, HR, and claims teamsIssue legal opinions on liability, cargo claims, and related mattersDraft, review, and revise contracts and agreementsQualifications – Required:Bachelor of Law (LL.B.)Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec for at least 2 yearsMinimum 1-2 years’ post-call litigation experience (open to any area of litigation)Bilingual – fluent in English, functional in French for external dealingsProfessional, focused, calm, and collaborative personalityQualifications – Preferred:Knowledge of the transportation industrySpanish language skills
