- Support the project procurement efforts, in the award of construction and service contracts.
- Contractual change control relating to cost and time.
- Program monitoring (scope, cost and time) and progress meetings.
- Payment certification and cash flow forecast.
- Claims administration.
- Develop, process and implement contractual documents and change notices in a timely manner.
- Administrate contracts in accordance with general requirements of contractual terms and conditions.
- Maintain various contract registers and as per project specific instructions.
- Drive the deliverables and inputs as required from the quantity surveyors (if applicable).
- Management of securities/guarantees.
- Close-out.
- A current RCCA (Road Construction Contract Administrator) designation from OACETT or a Professional Engineer with a P Eng designation in Ontario.
- Taken and passed the MTO T131 - Advanced Issues Resolution training (post January 01, 2020), or taken and passed the MTO T131- Advanced Claims - Dispute Resolution training (prior to December 31, 2019, and attend the T-131A refresher in 2020).
- Experience of being a Contract Administrator on at least 3 MTO Contract Administration Contracts.
- Management skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Experience working on large construction sites.
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes and corporate governance principles.
- Ability to fit into a team environment and personal skills to compliment teamwork development.
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
- Must have a valid Driver license.
