Join us!To learn more about us, please visit:Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Manager for User Lifecycle, the IT Automation Analyst is an important role in ensuring operational efficiencies are achieved through automation of processes related to User Lifecycle process.The position plays an integral role in the development, implementation and administration of information technology (IT) projects or operational work. It will use its diverse IT expertise to operate independently on assigned work; however, it will receive broad guidance on overall scope of work and assistance on more complex situations.The IT Automation Analyst will be working closely with the subject matter experts (SME) of these various service teams, service design team, IMT and business teams to provide efficient, consistent and coordinated services to all Government Ministries.Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Service Operations: Participate in design session for requests related to User Lifecycle process, work with business contacts and other stakeholders to automate processes, develop scripts as needed to allow automation to function with ServiceNow, participate in the development of User Lifecycle framework and processes, perform acceptance testing, generate reports to analyze the effectiveness of the RITMs related to user lifecycle and recommend service improvements.
  • Ticket Management: Prioritize calls/service request based on client needs, overall requests, and available resources to address workloads, work with the team to address incidents and problem management and escalate to the manager when needed.
  • Client Service Support: Work with business clients to develop test scripts, determines type of problem (i.e. technical, application, hardware, software) and ascertains the best method of problem resolution and whether it should be accomplished directly or through a service partner, perform day-to-day routine requests as needed.
  • Technical Service Support: Provides assistance to fulfillment teams and other service areas on User Lifecycle related problems, cross train other Domain Access Management Team members on updates or changes to the services provided by the group.
  • Project Activities: Provide assistance to projects as a technical resource, ensure project risks and potential obstacles are communicated and understood, participate in post implementation review, provide status report.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement activities, identify current and future requirements for continual improvement, identification of service improvements on the delivery of service.

QualificationsRequirements:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 2 years of related experience in:
  • Automating process flows with PowerShell.
  • ServiceNow platform (admin, integration, catalogue or workflows).
Equivalencies: Equivalencies will be considered.
  • A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and four years related experience; or
  • A related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and five years related experience.
Assets:
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of IT Service Management.
  • Experience in ITIL and/or COBIT, or a related certification.
  • Understanding of project management concepts and processes.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows Based Networks, Exchange, Active Directory, and Azure functions and processes User Lifecycle related services.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the technology we support (Active Roles, Security Explorer, BERNIE, etc).
  • Knowledge of Government IT policies and legislation and an understanding of its application on related assignments.
