- Act as lead strategic Talent advisor to the Plant Manager
- Establishes annual talent business partnership strategy for distribution facility
- Deliver the full range of HR generalist services to managers and employees with emphasis on employee relations, compliance, benefits, recruiting and implementation of HR programs.
- Direct responsibility for the knowledge, application and compliance with current labour laws, rules and regulations (including WCB and leaves of absences)
- Ability to provide guidance on managing complex organizational and people issues. Responsible for employee relations topics including, investigations, employee counseling and documentation, and the separation process.
- Partners with Training & Development to identify training opportunities.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely filling of open roles and appropriate local strategy.
- Guide managers through the performance management process to maximize the achievement of business goals.
- Participate in monthly regional business reviews to present HR metrics and identify any areas of opportunity.
- Build business acumen in order to understand and support the operational needs of the business and provide integrated strategic solutions.
- Ensure that evaluations and recommendations are completed timely and within guidelines.
- Provides training & education to management on the interviewing techniques, sexual workplace harassment, management basics.
- Manages local programs and compliance training programs for client group.
- Partners with Managers in driving clear and actionable performance feedback.
- Leads talent component of employee onboarding, which includes strong partnership with Operation function
- Keep a pulse of the team culture and business at all times.
- Partners with Senior Director, Talent to establish strong foundations and compliance within the Chilliwack Ingredients Plant
- Works with stakeholders on programs and processes that require cross-departmental support amongst Operations function.
- Identifies efficiencies within Talent Business Partner processes and designs solutions that enable and evolve the function.
- Drive the talent management agenda in conjunction with Management based on our 70/20/10 philosophy to ensure retention and growth of individuals
- Build momentum, traction and understanding of Red Bull's entrepreneurial philosophies by coaching Leadership Team, Managers and employees to drive their own growth
- Implement global training initiatives and facilitates trainings on local level such as Strengths Workshops, Amplify, HR (Manager) Onboardings, etc.
- Run annual Engagement Survey and support Action Planning Workshops
- Coach managers on the Red Bull Compensation philosophy and drive managerial empowerment through educated decisions, in collaboration with Global C&B team
- Work in close cooperation with the C&B management in the area (C&B, labor law and employee relations)
- Ensure correct data set in the HR systems along the lifecycle of the employee in collaboration with Shared Service teams
- Facilitates yearly salary review cycle, supporting Management and provide analysis for Global C&B and Management
- Manage proactively employment relation cases to provide a pragmatic solution for both the employee and the business
- Ensure compliance to company policy and throughout the levels of the Chilliwack Plant (senior leadership to hourly workforce)
- Develop, review and oversee the implementation and overall compliance to health and safety policies, programs and procedures in collaboration with our Global H&S team
- Will manage the occupational and non-occupational injury process in the plant, as well as return to work program (working with Worksafe BC)
- Sit on the Joint Health and Safety Team for the Ingredients Plant
- Reporting health & safety KPIs and project updates to Leadership Team
- Establish and provide health programs for both salaried and hourly employees, in conjunction with local legal requirements (e.g. company doctor)
- 5+ years HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or distribution facility
- Post-secondary education is required - preferably a degree, or a two-year diploma with a focus in Human Resources
- Experience with local British Columbia labour laws, as well as Canadian labour laws
- Experience in workplace injuries (managing WorkSafeBC) and Joint Health and Safety
- Proven track-record of strong business partnership in a fast-paced business environment
- Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of production environment and integrating the HR value proposition to meet the needs of the business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and training skills
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employment engagement, performance and retention
- Self-Starter with hands-on mentality who is able to deal with change management
- Strong organization and planning skills with a close attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity of HR Information Systems
