- Oversees total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
- Manage multiple ICI building construction projects concurrently working with project coordination and site supervision resources collaboratively
- Negotiate contracts with sub-trades and manage trade relationships
- Report project progress to key internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for overall project performance and reporting in areas including, but not limited to safety, cost/budget, schedule, quality and project status
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Conducts site tours, including safety inspections
- Lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to
- Mentors, coaches, supervises and assesses performance of direct reports and other team members
- Oversees project from pre-construction to closeout.
- 15+ years of local Canadian construction experience working with a General Contractor as a Construction Project Manager completing a variety of industrial, commercial and institutional projects in the GTA market
- Experience overseeing both new build and renovation projects
- Experience in projects ranging from $5mm to $50mm
- Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability in cost reporting
- Ability to manage relationships with clients and trades.
