We have many diverse and technically challenging projects ahead and are seeking individuals who are eager to learn and work in a collaborative team environment.As a Mechanical Designer - Building Automation design internally referred to as Key Specialist (Design, Intermediate level), you will be part of a team designing and executing Building Automation Control projects on both new and upgraded installations. Your team will include in house Project Managers, Electricians and Technicians. Your involvement will start with the conceptual design and continue through the detailed design, handover to site staff, construction support and project closure.What will you do?
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, customer standards and contract documents to define project parameters
  • Support the National and Global operations centers to ensure quality and adherence to customer standards
  • Confirm control system components to ensure functionality and compliance
  • Review component locations to ensure ease of installation, operation, and functionality
  • Perform quality checks on system schematic, wiring diagrams, sequence of operation, panel layout drawings, database, customer standards, and material schedules as part of the design package
  • Order and track delivery for all project components, when needed
  • Support the field team and Project Manager during the execution of the project
  • Assist in document control and consolidation of customer MDT files
  • Support the sales team as required
What will you need to succeed?
  • 5+ years design experience in Building Automation System field but open to considering candidates with a strong background in HVAC and Mechanical systems.
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical (preferred) /Electrical Engineering or relevant trade certifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
  • Experience with design and commissioning tools like Bluebeam
  • Strong computing skills: MS office
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional departments and interface with customers
