Clintar is seeking an experienced Concrete Finishers skilled in forming, pouring, and finishing concrete for sidewalks, curbs, and slabs and other sort of concrete work. This role requires a dedicated professional with 5-10 years of hands-on experience who can manage all steps from from start to finish of your concrete job.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites including base installation for sidewalks, curbs, and slabs or any other concrete job
- Build, install, and secure wooden or metal forms, applying form release agents to facilitate stripping
- Place reinforcement like rebar or wire mesh with proper supports as per project requirements
- Pour concrete efficiently, maintaining continuous flow to avoid cold joints
- Use screeds, floats, trowels, and edging tools to finish concrete surfaces to specification
- Cut control joints to minimize cracking and ensure structural integrity
- Apply curing compounds or maintain moisture to promote proper curing
- Safely remove forms once concrete reaches sufficient strength
- Clean up job sites post-completion, storing tools and disposing of waste responsibly
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and local regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and other crew members for smooth workflow
- 5 to 10 years of concrete finishing experience in construction or landscape hardscape projects
- Proficiency with concrete forming, pouring, and finishing equipment (power trowels, screeds, floats, hand tools)
- Strong knowledge of concrete mix behavior, curing practices, and quality control
- Familiarity with site prep, form building, reinforcement placement, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Physical ability to perform demanding labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Frequent lifting of materials and tools (up to 50 lbs)
- Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
- Exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, and moisture
- Working with heavy equipment and potentially hazardous materials, necessitating PPE
