This role plays a critical operational backbone function, enabling marketing teams to execute launches flawlessly, maintain data accuracy across customers, and ensure financial discipline across all marketing investments. It provides critical support to the Bimbo Canada Marketing and Omni Teams, with a primary focus on budget management, purchase order (PO) generation, and customer sample management. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, brings strong communication and problem-solving capabilities, and demonstrates solid project management skills. A strong aptitude for numbers, analytical thinking, and the ability to build effective working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors are essential for success in this role.As a member of the Bimbo Canada Marketing Team, you will operate as part of one integrated function, supporting Foodservice, Vachon, and Snacking. From time to time, you may also be required to support projects across additional business units, depending on business needs.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end marketing budget and Purchase Order management, including creation, modification, receiving, reconciliation, and year end close activities.
- Act as the primary liaison with Finance and Accounts payable resolving invoice discrepancy vendor issues and GRIR inquiries.
- Maintain Oracle Purchase Order creation, receiving and reporting “How To” documentation and train marketing users as required.
- Own month-end and Ad & Promo budget reviews, identifying discrepancies and saving opportunities for reallocation.
- Manage vendor setup, extensions, updates and approval hierarchies ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Support the management and reconciliation of a few select PULL budgets as required including monthly tracking and issue resolution.
- Responsible for processing all Stonemill Retail Store Invoices and liasoning with the store manager and their vendors as required relating to invoicing issues.
- Support the processing and tracking all invoices from Bimbo’s Media agency and resolving any billing or payment issues when required.
- Support all year end marketing budget requirements including, generating PO status reports, participating in accrual training for marketers and supporting marketers in their year end budget balancing.
- Lead the execution of customer sample kits to support product launches and sales trade decks, partnering with external agencies as needed.
- Own the end‑to‑end coordination, tracking, and fulfillment of customer sample orders for Bimbo Canada, collaborating with Customer Service, logistics partners, bakeries, and distribution centres.
- Manage the preparation and shipment of product samples to GS1, ensuring compliance with submission requirements.
- Deliver ongoing operational and administrative support to the Marketing team, including presentation development, meeting coordination, and SharePoint site administration.
- A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or equivalent experience) Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or Accounting.
- 2+ years of experience in a consumer packaged goods environment.
- Superior project management and multi-tasking skill set.
- Strong business acumen with excellent financial, analytical, logical & quantitative skills.
- Demonstrates strong thought leadership and problem solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and ability to build cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals (often including sales, marketing, OMNI, accounts payable, finance, product development, purchasing, procurement & finance).
- Develop and sustain effective vendor relationships through clear communication, alignment on expectations, and proactive problem-solving.
- Strong presentation & communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Must be proactive and performance driven, be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Adaptable, persistent, strong initiative, results oriented.
- Adept with Microsoft Office and Web navigation.
- Familiarity with GS1 and ERP systems (Oracle) would be an asset.
- Fluency in French and/or Spanish would be an asset.
