Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:As the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, your main duty is to lead and cultivate a high performing team to ensure that warehouse processes are executed in safe, efficient and timely fashion, maintaining or exceeding Service Level Agreement (SLA) established KPI's and lead times.Meet Your Future Team:You will be working with a team of Warehouse Supervisors on various operations within our Distribution Centre including Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Returns and VAS. \nIf you were the Logistics Coordinator now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • You provide daily workload reports to the Manager, Distribution Centre detailing progress, identified issues and potential solutions
  • You ensure that staff receive proper training in their assigned roles as well as cross training in other areas in order to uphold the Company's quality and safety standards (ex. regular 6S practices, use of heavy machinery, etc.)
  • You facilitate effective and productive communications with the team and internal and external collaborators to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • You coordinate and arrange the execution of warehouse processes in your designated area which may include delivery of container and air freight deliveries to the Distribution Centre, order picking, packing and shipping, value added processing, booking and overseeing carrier and courier pickups
  • You monitor process cycle time, staffing levels and resource allocation to ensure workload is completed in a timely and organized manner
  • You ensure that processes are completed in the Warehouse Management System(WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in order for inventory to be accurately represented
  • You support with inventory cycle counting in order to maintain accurate on hand stock counts
  • You monitor team KPI's and find solutions to remove barriers and improve performance
  • You identify opportunities for improvements in safety, quality and efficiency, and work to implement those changes across the broader team. You lead the team in your assigned area to be an inclusive, supportive and performance driven team
  • You perform other duties and special projects as assigned, which may include process improvement, health and safety, employee experience/engagement, and so forth
Are you our next Warehouse Supervisor?
  • You have post-secondary education in operations, finance or similar field
  • You have education or 5+ years of previous experiences in Warehouse Management System, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and process improvement
  • You have excellent English communication skills verbally and in writing and the ability and tact to effectively engage multiple collaborators with competing interests in a global environment
  • You have strong computer skills including a good working knowledge in MS Office
  • You possess a valid forklift license and have 5+ years of experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, order pickers, etc.)
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
