- Contribute to the design and implementation of compensation programs and initiatives.
- Prepare the data foundations for salary reviews, short-term incentive (STIP) payouts, compensation cycles etc. This includes data cleansing, worksheet preparation, and managing the timeline of activities.
- Coordinate the annual participation in external salary surveys. Map internal roles to survey benchmarks and prepare initial gap-to-market analyses for review by the Partners.
- Identify process improvements and develop recommendations for enhancements.
- Resolve escalated inquiries from HRBPs and leaders and assist with communication efforts for compensation programs.
- May conduct market analysis, job evaluations, pay reviews and benchmarking studies to inform pay decisions or to provide key insights.
- Participate in the functional testing within the HRIS (Workday). Perform rigorous audits on compensation data within the HRIS to support analysis.
- Support the development and maintenance of compensation policies and guidelines
- Assist with communication efforts for compensation and total rewards programs.
- Degree or diploma in HR, Business, or a related field. Pursuit of CCP designation is an asset.
- 1-3 years of experience with understanding of core compensation principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to simplify technical pay concepts.
- Collaborative in nature and ability to work cross-functionally effectively with others.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to manage large data sets without losing accuracy.
- Strong technical proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to build complex spreadsheets (VLOOKUPS, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, and basic Macros).
- Experience managing work-back plans and tight deadlines during high-pressure cycle periods (e.g., year-end).
- Hands-on HRIS experience with direct Workday experience as an asset.
