In this role, you will support various compensation activities, ensuring programs are administered effectively, and are aligned with the Total Rewards and HR strategies. You will work directly with the Director, Compensation Operations and collaborate with Compensation & HR Business Partners, Total Rewards and other HR functions.What You'll Do:
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of compensation programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare the data foundations for salary reviews, short-term incentive (STIP) payouts, compensation cycles etc. This includes data cleansing, worksheet preparation, and managing the timeline of activities.
  • Coordinate the annual participation in external salary surveys. Map internal roles to survey benchmarks and prepare initial gap-to-market analyses for review by the Partners.
  • Identify process improvements and develop recommendations for enhancements.
  • Resolve escalated inquiries from HRBPs and leaders and assist with communication efforts for compensation programs.
  • May conduct market analysis, job evaluations, pay reviews and benchmarking studies to inform pay decisions or to provide key insights.
  • Participate in the functional testing within the HRIS (Workday). Perform rigorous audits on compensation data within the HRIS to support analysis.
  • Support the development and maintenance of compensation policies and guidelines
  • Assist with communication efforts for compensation and total rewards programs.
What You'll Need:
  • Degree or diploma in HR, Business, or a related field. Pursuit of CCP designation is an asset.
  • 1-3 years of experience with understanding of core compensation principles and practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to simplify technical pay concepts.
  • Collaborative in nature and ability to work cross-functionally effectively with others.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to manage large data sets without losing accuracy.
  • Strong technical proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to build complex spreadsheets (VLOOKUPS, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, and basic Macros).
  • Experience managing work-back plans and tight deadlines during high-pressure cycle periods (e.g., year-end).
  • Hands-on HRIS experience with direct Workday experience as an asset.
