The combined skills of our engineers, technicians and support personnel with their diverse backgrounds in design and construction provide clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.Responsibilities:Prepare HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and drainage systems, designs, specifications and drawings for all building types.Liaise with the clients, consultants, contractors and vendors to obtain project information and to discuss specific design related problems.Create and present technical reports on the nature, status and results of design or study assignments.Ability to recognize the implications of assigned work on the work of other disciplines, and ensure the necessary coordination occurs.Construction review activities, including site review of construction work progress.May supervise and mentor junior staff.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering15 or more years of experience in designing mechanical systems within the consulting engineering industry.Current P.Eng. license holder.Experience working independently, without detailed supervision.1 year of project management experience will be considered an asset.Strong computer skills, ideally including AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.LEED Accreditation will be considered an asset.Ability to work in a team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Job Type: RegularJob Profile: For internal use Buildings Mechanical Engineering VMorrison Hershfield, now Stantec is committed to having an inclusive and diverse workforce, with recruitment free of discrimination, ensuring all candidates are given a fair opportunity for employment.
