- Provide support for injury and incident related performance. Support the development and implementation of preventative measures or strategic solutions to improve performance.
- Review analytical results, waste manifests, preventive maintenance performance to maintain environmental compliance
- Contribute and advise senior leadership team and client of potential or actual incidents, injuries, or noncompliance conditions requiring immediate notification to regulatory authorities.
- Assist in conducting incident, near-miss, and regulatory noncompliance investigations. Determine root cause and recommend measures to prevent recurrence. Evaluate the noncompliance to the regulatory requirement or contractual requirements, and report to management team if the noncompliance is the result of a misconduct, negligence or failure to perform work duty by an employee. Where necessary, support performance or disciplinary discussion.
- Possess practical and technical expertise to audit specific standards to maintain ISO certifications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is essential to manage compliance audits, drive corrective actions, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to acquire and/or maintain ISO 45001 & 14001 Lead Auditor status.
- Author, review, and update applicable policies and procedures necessary to the scope of HSE
- Willingness to travel (limited) to locations within the province to identify and evaluate potential compliance gaps and regulatory concerns.
- Ability to review and monitor multiple federal, provincial, and local regulations to ensure compliance and provide recommendations to the leadership team.
- Provides technical guidance and interpretation of Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance issues to support operations.

- Ability to effectively communicate with identified stakeholders, including engagement with regulatory authorities.

- No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

- Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Working towards one of the following is preferred: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Environmental Professional (EP), or similar occupational health, safety, or environmental certification.
- Experience with analyzing information to make judgments to solve standard problems.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
- Prior experience in worker training, worksite evaluation, and program audits
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial related calculations
