Education: A degree in Engineering or Architecture, or a related engineering and construction discipline. Experience: Demonstrated extensive experience (10 years and over) in capital project management and implementation, with at least five years of experience managing large, complex, multi-year transit or infrastructure projects. Professional Designation: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or Architect (O.A.A.) in the Province of Ontario or proof of registration within 12 months. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address complex technical and stakeholder issues. Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of project management and change management practices, including work planning, risk management, and budget management. Familiarity with applicable legislation such as the Contract Law, Construction Liens Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Environmental Assessment Act is also crucial. Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships, negotiate effectively, and manage multiple direct reports. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
