Reporting to the General Supervisor - Ontario Buying Team, you will be part of the Procurement Department. This entry-level, developmental role provides hands-on experience across strategic sourcing, purchasing, data management and inventory analysis, laying a strong foundation for professional growth within the supply chain field. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to ensure value, quality, and sustainability for the organization;Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies in collaboration with senior team members;Participate in supplier negotiations and help manage supplier performance metrics;Analyse request from end-user, proceed with quotation process, emit purchase orders and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely procurement of goods and services;Monitor order status, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate purchasing records;Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and help improve procurement processes;Assist with monitoring inventory levels and conducting regular inventory audits;Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments to optimize stock levels;Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management;Ensure compliancy in Assist with monitoring inventory levels and conducting regular inventory audits;Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments to optimize stock levels;Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management;Engage in formal training and mentorship opportunities designed to accelerate your understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes;Participate in cross-functional projects and gain exposure to various business units.Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Interest in supply chain, logistics, or procurement;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced workplace;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Sudbury Regional Office.
  • You must be willing to work on a rotational schedule at a remote mine site.
