Job description:OVERVIEWOur client, an industrial contractor supporting ongoing maintenance operations at a remote mine site, is looking to add Welders to their project team as their scope of work continues to expand.This role is a long-term, rotational opportunity with strong stability, consistent work, and the chance to be part of a collaborative site environment where contractors and employees work seamlessly together. With over a year of successful operations already underway and continued growth forecasted, this role offers both immediate impact and future opportunity, including potential advancement into supervisory roles.Reporting to the site shift supervisors, the successful candidate will work a 2 week on/2 week off rotation, receive paid travel, as well as overtime pay.WHY CONSIDER THIS OPPORTUNITY?

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform welding, gouging, and fabrication work on heavy mining equipment
  • Conduct repairs on haul truck boxes, buckets, and shovel components
  • Fit and install OEM wear plates and structural components
  • Rebuild and repair bucket teeth, adaptors, and structural cracks
  • Work primarily outdoors (90% of the time)
  • Operate safely and efficiently within a 12-hour shift rotation (days/nights)
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, planners, and maintenance teams to ensure uptime and productivity
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, workmanship, and reliability
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in an industrial or mining environment
  • Proficiency and ticketed for: SMAW (Stick Welding), MCAW (Metal Core Arc Welding), SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)
  • Hold certification: WHMIS, Working at Heights (WAH), 4-Step Safety Awareness (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work in a remote camp setting on a 2x2 rotation
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
IND2Pay rate*: $25 - $35/hour (based on experience) with OT paid after 8 hours per day
  • In accordance with pay transparency requirements, a salary range/hourly rate range has been provided. Compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
