Explore with us-your journey starts here.What You'll DoUnder the direction of the Dietary Services Manager, the Food Service Worker (FSW) is responsible for participating in the preparation and service of safe and nutritious meals to residents, staff and visitors in a pleasant and respectful manner.What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current enrollment, or completion of, Food Service Worker Certificate as per O.Reg. 79/10 of the Long Term Care Homes Act, 2007
  • Safe Food Handling Certification as per O.Reg 493/17 of the Food Premises Act
  • Food service experience, preferably in an institutional setting, is preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Mature, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly
  • Demonstrated patience, adaptability and flexibility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
  • Clear criminal background check including vulnerable sector screening
  • Two-step TB skin test
