AtkinsRéalis is dedicated in engineering a better future for our planet and its people.Location – Vancouver, BCAtkinsRealis Hydropower & Geotechnical department has exciting full-time career opportunities for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer-In-Training. Our civil engineers work with our clients to design and deliver customized solutions for hydroelectric projects.Your role within the team:
  • Establish design criteria related to the area of assignment, based upon specified contractual requirements and in line with good engineering practices.
  • Design open excavations, grading plans, low volume roads, retaining walls, stormwater management, cofferdams, open channels, including supporting calculations, specifications, volume estimation and assisting in supervising the preparation of drawings.
  • Provision of field support during construction.
  • Other tasks as required to support project goals and business activities including some occasion structural analysis and design work.

The ideal candidate:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
  • EGBC Professional Engineer eligibility for registration as E.I.T.
  • Strong computer skills and a working of Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • A strong technical capability and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • The ability to handle multiple diverse assignments successfully in a consulting firm environment.
  • The ability to perform as a key member of an inter-disciplinary project team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role.
