- Identify, develop and cultivate corporate relationships to help sustain and grow the events portfolio, including solicitation for employee engagement initiatives, events and related peer to peer campaigns.
- Recruit volunteers and support event organizing committees.
- Partner with the Manager, CFE, and National Corporate Partnerships team to identify and maximize corporate sponsorship and engagement opportunities.
- Work closely with the Coordinator, CFE, to ensure all sponsorship deliverables are fulfilled.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations for corporate prospects that align with the Diabetes Canada’s business plan and market trends.
- Manage a pipeline of qualified prospects and coordinate pipeline activities with other fundraising activities.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new contacts, companies, and growth opportunities.
- Facilitate a moves-management approach to corporate constituents and maintain accurate records within the organization’s CRM system.
- Support in-person events for the CFE team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3 - 5 years of proven fundraising experience in a high relationship-based environment.
- University or College degree in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.
- Experience recruiting and supporting volunteer committees.
- Non-profit experience in a health charity an asset.
- Confident, friendly, professional, and comfortable with cold calling.
- Experience with a fundraising related CRM an asset.
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with advanced organization skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to travel and to attend evening and weekend events and meetings/
- Understands and demonstrates a commitment to Diabetes Canada’s Mission, Vision and Core Values.
