- Producing high quality, thoughtful analysis using commercially available software packages and in-house tools.
- Conducting field measurements or noise and vibration at industrial, residential, institutional, and construction sites.
- Collaborating with project managers from scoping, through all stages of project execution. Opportunities to move into technical project management roles are available within the team.
- Communicating project results and proposed solutions to internal and external clients.
- Managing a schedule of multiple active projects to successfully balance priorities and meet deliverables.
- Demonstrated knowledge of key areas of environmental noise and vibration such as:
- Predictive railway noise and vibration models (e.g., FTA, STEAM).
- Predictive roadway noise models (e.g., TNM, ORNAMENT).
- Basic sound and vibration propagation algorithms.
- Modelling software (e.g., Cadna/A).
- Experience with sound level and vibration measurements - both source and receptor.
- Experience working collaboratively with clients to develop solutions that within the context of the project.
- Programming skills not required, but considered an asset.
- Eligible for P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) following completion of years of experience
- Valid driver's license
