Bickle Centre Department: Bickle Centre Administration Reports to: Business Manager Hours: Various Status: Casual Closing Date: September 10, 2025Position SummaryAs a member of the facility, the Merchandise Technician will be primarily responsible for performing duties related to the Bickle Centre Gift Shop.Duties:
Responsible for ordering, receiving, and pricing of merchandise
Performs merchandising and cashier functions
Organizes revenue-generating promotions to attract customer interest
Provides great customer service
Provide leadership, support, and guidance to gift shop volunteers
Coordinate the return of stale-dated merchandise and other products
Maintain the order and cleanliness of the gift shop
Perform cross-functional duties within the scope of authority
Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
Requires lifting items or bending, such as cases of products greater than 15lbs, which are sold by the case, merchandising/stocking cases of beverages
Requires standing 95% of the shift
Requires assisting with packaging and reconciling invoices
Qualifications
One (1) year of related merchandising experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Experience and interest in retail merchandising
Computer Skills: MS Word and basic Excel an asset
Willingness to work flexible hours and changing shift schedule
