- Support the CNC programming team by creating work orders and accurate flat patterns from parametric models for different sizes.
- Provide CSV production files to support CNC programmers in manufacturing workflows as needed.
- Create, modify, and maintain sheet metal 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
- Develop design table or Excel-driven models for parametric control of part dimensions and variations.
- Maintain and expand standardized model libraries that support BIM workflows and ensure all specifications are applied.
- Communicate and collaborate with design, breakdown, manufacturing teams and QC team to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth workflow from design through production.
- Assist in the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for modeling, drawing, and design workflows.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance design efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.
Minimum 2 years of sheet metal 3D modeling experience using Autodesk Inventor required.Skills & Competencies:
- Detail oriented with the ability to read architectural, mechanical, structural and slab edge drawings.
- Proficiency in Sheet Metal design using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Experience in creating shop drawings and fabrication packages.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and iLogic is an asset.
- Experience with CNC software such as Stream Bend, Stream Punch, CNC Kad is an asset.
- Proficiency in Excel formulas and functions is required.
